Other siblings Marjorie and William had emigrated to Australia in 1910, and James was in the military with The North Staffordshire ( Prince of Wales ) Regiment.

1911 Census Believed to be in New Whittington Derbyshire. On enlistment 1914 he was at Wellington St New Whittington with parents. He had siblings Thomas who was at Leeds in 1914 and Myrah had married Ernest Pedley in 1909 and was living at Elmton Notts. in 1911. His uncle Henry, Aunt Grace and cousins Tom, Harry, Baden, Harold and Eliza Jane were living in Westhouses in Blackwell Parish in 1911
